01/02/10

It was my AC Mom's birthday on Monday, so for family time we surprised her by taking her out to lunch, then blindfolding her and taking her to Graves Park. Awaiting was our whole family, and all of her children from last year, and their children- quite the crowd! She was so surprised, and we had even more food there for everyone to eat. It was cold and windy, but sunny, so we managed to get a few good pictures of the day!

This week we had Experience: a few days where prospective students come to check out Masters. We had 8 girls stay in our apartment with us; thats 14 girls total and 2 bathrooms! I met some amazing highschoolers and I am so excited to see some of them return in the Fall! Between the countless hours of practices, lost sleep, sleeping on the floor,  and sharing a bathroom with 7 other girls, I'd say it was still all worth it. They all left with more than just an understanding of what Masters is, but an experience with God. I love that I had a part of setting the atmosphere for them to meet him! With Experience taking up the week, not much really went on otherwise. Today, team Ireland and team Mexico are leaving for their missions trips, and it will be sad to see them go for 2 weeks! God is going to do some amazing things, as the teams are going with such hearts of expectancy. I can't wait to hear their stories!
